Inventory management is a strategic function designed for tactical optimization, aligned with the company’s long-term strategic direction. Target service levels are established for various sales markets and customer groups, and top-down financial planning is conducted. By making inventory structures more flexible, risks are actively minimized and capital tied up is reduced. To achieve this, lead times are shortened, smaller batch sizes are enabled, and responsiveness is increased. Precise forecasts and proactive management, alongside improved resilience, are key priorities and contribute to higher delivery capability and customer satisfaction in the long term.
Rapid achievement of a significant reduction in stock levels and stabilization without impairing the ability to deliver to customers. Working in "task force mode".
“In our project with EMPORIAS, we have developed a differentiated planning strategy for the procurement of purchased parts and manufacturing, which enables targeted inventory management. Through the direct implementation of the PFEP (Plan For Every Part) and a newly defined material class concept in our SAP add-on GIB Controlling (formerly DCC), we are jointly ensuring the realization of potential, which includes not only a reduction in inventory while simultaneously increasing material availability but also a reduction in planning effort. We greatly value our collaboration with EMPORIAS due to the expertise they bring, their strong implementation capabilities, and their integration into our organization."

Inventory Analysis
Creating transparency through detailed analyses of static inventory and dynamic material movements across the supply chain
Material Class Concept
Development of a detailed material classification system using Plan for Every Part (PFEP), which automatically assigns optimal material management strategies and enables regular optimizations.
Inventory Management DASHBOARD
Development of an interactive, AI-powered, and automated inventory management dashboard to visualize inventory levels and enable the derivation of control logic and optimization strategies.
S&OP
Implementation of a Sales & Operations Planning process to facilitate cross-functional and integrated coordination between demand and capacity, with the goal of synchronizing all functions along the value chain.
Supplier
integration
Continuously improve collaboration and integration with suppliers, thereby strengthening supplier management to ensure performance, quality, reliability, and profitability throughout the supply chain.
With a targeted inventory reduction programme, measures were defined and subsequently implemented along the entire supply chain - from optimized supplier management and adjusted scheduling parameters to coordinated S&OP control. The focus was on sustainable end-to-end optimization of the supply chain. In the first phase of the project, a set of measures was jointly developed within a few weeks. The subsequent optimization roadmap was successfully implemented over a period of several months. As a result, it was possible to sustainably reduce inventories across all stages of the value chain and increase the service level to the end customer.
